Woolianna...Beautifully set within a 4000 tree Mango Plantation Woolianna on the Daly Tourist Park is an off the beaten track tropical oasis with plenty of shade and lawn, situated right on the bank of the Daly River. Woolianna is now on 24 hour mains power. It is readily accessible by conventional vehicles. The park is small and friendly and has forty (48) powered sites and unlimited un-powered sites in the orchard and along the river. It is advisable to book a few days in advance, especially if you intend to visit over a long weekend. There is a large shaded swimming pool surrounded by palms and as the weather is ideal for swimming all year round, the pool area is a popular place for socialising. You'll find it's a great place to meet other people or maybe you would rather just lay back and relax on one of the sun lounges and read a book from our free exchange library.
Facilities: With two spotlessly clean ablution blocks in main camping area (and one in the orchard) camping area, both with solar hot water, you'll never have to queue for a shower. The laundry has two machines which operate on an honesty system plus clothes lines, and as it rarely rains form April to November, you'll have no trouble getting your washing dry. Washing up sinks with hot water are located near each ablution block. Six wood fired barbeques are available with a good supply of wood and one gas barbeque is located near the pool area Shop: We have a small shop that sells ice-cream, boat fuel, cool drinks, ice, frozen mangoes, nibblies, and souvenirs. Boat Ramp: You can launch your boat at our boat ramp and leave it in the water tied up to the riverbank for the duration of your stay. Boat Hire: You don't have to bring your own boat to enjoy fishing on the Daly. Hire one of ours. Kids: Woolianna is for kids too. There is a large grassy area to play ball games, the pool of course, wildlife to discover and fishing from the banks for black bream is always a favourite.
